About Us

Crystal Sharp, co-owner of CD Sharp Information Systems, Ltd, has coordinated grant submissions to the Ontario Problem Gambling Research Centre, Canadian Health Services Research Foundation (CHSRF), the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Social Sciences Health and Research Foundation (SSHRC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI), Health Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, and the European Union Framework 7 (FP7).

Founded in 1998 in London, Ontario, Canada, CD Sharp Information Systems, Ltd. has provided customized research and writing support to a wide variety of clients, from individual researchers to not-for-profit organizations and to multi- and inter-disciplinary research teams in varied fields (social sciences, agricultural sciences and clinical, medical and health services).

Crystal is a graduate of Wellesley College, Wellesley Massachusetts; she has a Masters degree in Economics from Boston College, Newton Massachusetts; and a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario.  She is a member, and abides by the professional codes of ethics, of: the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP) and the Special Libraries Association (SLA).

Awards

Peggy Howard Scholarship, 1986 Awarded to a graduate of Wellesley College to continue study in Economics at the graduate level.

1984 Natalie Bolton Memorial Prize for best student economics paper as judged by the Economics Department faculty at Wellesley College.  The paper was on an interview Crystal conducted with Dr. Franco Modigliani, later recipient of Nobel Prize in Economics in1985.
